KARUR: The Tamil Nadu Government Temporary Junior Assistants and Assistants Munnetra Association members went to work wearing badges to highlight their charter of demands, including job security and fixation of pay on timescale basis.

The Association members claimed that around 11,536 members were working for the past five years at a consolidated pay of Rs.4,000 per month and without any other benefits.

To highlight their demand for job security and fixing their pay on timescale basis, the Association members working in Karur wore badges to draw the State Government’s attention to their plight. They submitted a memorandum to the Collector seeking the State Government’s help for their demands to fructify.
