‘Technology can help curb corruption’

Technology could be put to effective use in curbing corruption, said City Police Commissioner Shailesh Kumar Yadav.

Speaking at the valediction of the Vigilance Awareness Week observation at the Ordnance Factory here, Mr.Yadav emphasised the need for people to remain vigilant against corruption, which if let unchecked could lead to crime.

M.K.Mishra, General Manager, OFT, T.S.Jayaram, Additional General Manager (Administration), A.Murugesan, Joint General Manager and Vigilance Officer, spoke.

Prizes to winners

Mr.Yadav distributed prizes to winners of various competitions for children and employees organised in connection with the observation.

Employees of the Sub-Regional Office of the Employees Provident Fund Organisation took a pledge against corruption as part of the Vigilance Awareness Week. G.Sivakumar, Assistant PF Commissioner and Officer In-charge administered the pledge.

A complaints drop box has been placed in front of the office for the public to file their complaints, according to a press release.
