THANJAVUR: Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) has recruited 26 science graduates (B.C.A. and B.Sc.) of Srinivasa Ramanujan Centre, Shanmugha Arts Science Technology and Research Academy (SASTRA) University, Kumbakonam.
Out of the 101 eligible candidates from the 2008 batch, 26 got offers from TCS. The success rate is said to be more than the average recorded by TCS in its recruitment activities across the country among science graduates.
There was a three-stage selection process: online aptitude test, group discussion and personal interview.
The visiting team from TCS congratulated SASTRA’s training activities and expressed its willingness to collaborate with the institution to increase the capabilities of the science graduates.
Wipro, another IT company major, will conduct a recruitment drive at the Srinivasa Ramanujan Centre on October 7, S. Vaidhyasubramaniam, Dean, Planning & Development, SASTRA, said in a press release.
