Transportation of petroleum products from the oil depot at Thatchanallur here to the southern districts was affected for a while on Tuesday after the oil tanker lorry drivers went on a flash strike.

The striking lorry drivers said a senior official of the oil depot was adopting anti-worker policies and treating the oil tanker lorry drivers in a shabby fashion.

Protest

To register their protest, the tanker lorry drivers parked their vehicles along the road and abstained from work. However, the oil depot officials and the police pacified the protesting drivers.
