Two Tamil poetry books were released here recently.
The book titled ‘Mazhai Velidhanilae’ authored by Swathy was released by Brahmmakumari Gnanam and the second book ‘Vizhi thooviya vidhaigal’ penned by Geetha was released by Oviya, rights activist.
Speaking on the occasion, Raththika, a writer, spoke on the role of novelists, writers and poets in shaping the society. She said that every writer should address social ills and strive hard to eliminate them.
Manjula Balu, Renuka and Thangam Murthy – all writers, spoke on the theme of the poems contained in the books and appreciated the writers’ efforts in throwing light on the sufferings of the poor and social ills. N. Arulmurugan, Chief Educational Officer, offered felicitations.
