A sum of Rs.1.50 crore has been earmarked for implementing subsidy schemes of the Tamil Nadu Adi-Dravida and Housing Development Corporation (TAHDCO) in the Nilgiris district during the current fiscal, said the Nilgiris Collector, Archana Patnaik, in a press note issued here.

Subsidy would be extended for purchase or improvement of land, setting up industries, self-employment programmes, creating revolving fund for self help groups and extending financial assistance to them.

Applications can be obtained from the District Manager, TAHDCO, or the Deputy Block Development Officers in the respective panchayat unions. They can also be downloaded from ‘http://www.tahdco.tn.gov.in/' www.tahdco.tn.gov.in.

Filled in applications should be submitted on or before 5 p.m. on December 30 to the District Manager's office.

Processed applications would be forwarded to the nearest banks. After the formalities are completed the TAHDCO would release to the bank 30 per cent of the loan amount or Rs. 2.25 lakh.
