TIRUCHI: Synthetic diamond units in Tiruchi, Pudukottai and Perambalur districts, affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Synthetic Diamond All Manufacturers' Association, downed shutters on Tuesday seeking implementation of their 15-point charter of demands.

Led by the advisor of the association R. Sridhar, a large number of members, participated in the rally taken out from the Vestry School Junction to the Collectorate.

The president and secretary of the association, G. Thiruvengadam and Rajadurai respectively took part in the rally. The leaders presented a memorandum to the authorities concerned later.
