The Society for Free Radical Research will organise a Satellite Conference of the Society and an international symposium on “Free Radical Damage and Herbal Antioxidants in Health and Disease” here on February 4 and 5. The symposium will be hosted by the Department of Bio-Chemistry, Bio-Technology and Bio-Informatics of the university, according to a release.

The conference will provide information exchange on the latest research activities in free radicals and their effects on various diseases. It will serve as a platform for scientists, teachers and research scholars to benefit from the interactions with leading scientists working in the field of oxidative damage and antioxidants.

Experts from academia, research, and healthcare will serve as resource persons and lead the various sessions. Some sessions will also be held via videoconferencing.

The symposium will also include poster presentations. Nearly 150 entries have been received for presentations, while more than 275 have registered for participation.
