To provide a congenial atmosphere for the learning process

MADURAI: Rotarians in what could be termed as a novel effort to provide a congenial atmosphere for the learning process donated supportive infrastructure which includes a Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Plant, desktop computers, laptop computers and 165 set of desk and benches here on Wednesday.

The effort has its significance in another form from the perspective of the beneficiaries, as the beneficiary here is the Sourashtra Girls Higher Secondary School.

To bridge gender gap

This in many ways could bridge the gender gap as it stands as a symbolic gesture aimed towards the girl students who are making great progress in knowledge production.

The donations worth Rs 10.5 lakh were organised by the Rotary Foundation, United States of America, Rotary International District 7430, USA, 3000, Tamil Nadu, India and Rotary Club of Madurai, D 3000. P. Dhamodharan, District Governor, Rotary International, Madurai, made the donations in the presence of M.Elangovan, District Rotary Foundation Chairman, K.Jambulingam, District Grants Subcommittee, Chair, M.P.V.K.Seethabai, Correspondent, Sourashtra Girls HSS and K.M.S.L.Yathindran, president, Sourashtra Girls Vidya Sangam.
