Southern Railway will run special trains via Tiruchi to clear the extra rush of passengers in the summer months.

Train no.06007 Chennai Central–Tuticorin fortnightly special (via Chennai Egmore, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi) will leave Chennai Central at 7.30 p.m. on April 18, May 2, 16 and 30, and June 13. It will reach Tiruchi at 3.35 a.m. and Tuticorin at 10 a.m. the next day.

Train no.06008 Tuticorin–Chennai Central fortnightly will leave Tuticorin at 3 p.m. on April 19, May 3, 17, 31, and June 14.

It will arrive at Tiruchi at 8.45 p.m. and Chennai Central at 5 a.m. the next day.

Train no.06009 Chennai Central–Rameswaram fortnightly special (via Chennai Egmore, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi) will leave Chennai Central at 7.30 p.m. on April 25, May 9 and 23, and June 6 and 20.

It will arrive at Tiruchi at 3.35 a.m. and Rameswaram at 8.45 a.m. the next day.

Train no.06010 Rameswaram–Chennai Central fortnightly will leave Rameswaram at 3.45 p.m. on April 26, May 10 and 24, and June 7 and 21.

It will arrive at Tiruchi at 8.55 p.m. and Chennai Central at 5 a.m. the next day.

Train no.06748 Nagercoil–Chennai Egmore weekly superfast will leave Nagercoil at 5 p.m. on Sundays from April 7 to June 23.

It will arrive at Tiruchi at 11.45 p.m. and at Chennai Egmore at 6.05 a.m. the next day.

Train no.06747 Chennai Egmore–Nagercoil weekly will leave Chennai Egmore at 2.35 p.m. on Mondays from April 8 to June 24.

It will arrive at Tiruchi 8.40 p.m. and Nagercoil at 5.30 a.m. the next day.

Advance booking

Advance reservation for the above trains is open, an official release from Tiruchi Railway Division said on Wednesday.
