A group of law students staged a protest near Kilpauk Medical College on Thursday demanding action against a doctor.
The students, who were admitted to KMC Hospital, had been on a fast-unto-death over the Sri Lankan Tamils issue on Thursday.
“The doctor tried to remove the needle from law student V. Palanikumar in a fit of rage and broke the needle. He also asked us to leave the place. Another doctor helped him remove the needle,” said G. Gowthaman, a student of Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College.
Traffic was disrupted from 10.30 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. near KMC.
