Two students, S. Ramya and R. Jagadeeswari of Raniar Government Higher Secondary School here who won the first place in the state-level Jawaharlal Nehru science congress, were presented with a cash award of Rs.500 each in recognition of their achievement.

S. Sagayam, president of Rotary Club of Pudukottai which organised the function, said that the project pertained to ‘biezo electric current in thoroughfares’.

Abibullah, secretary of the club, presented the award to the students.

R. Bose, Headmaster of the school, in his felicitations, said that the students would participate in the regional congress to be held in course of time.
