The indefinite fast of 21 law students of Puducherry entered the fourth day on Thursday.

While 12 students are on fast at beach road, nine others are carrying out the agitation near Thiruvalluvar statute. They were demanding the Centre to spell out its stand on the US-sponsored resolution against Sri Lanka.

A group of students even obstructed Chief Minister N. Rangasamy's convoy on beach road after attending a function. They complained that when the Ministers of Tamil Nadu had been meeting the agitated students and offering their support to their cause, no one from the territorial administration met them.

While appealing them to give up the fast, Mr. Rangasamy reportedly told them that a resolution would be passed in the Assembly on the issue.
