Seek provision of educational loans

CHENNAI: Members of the All India Students Federation (AISF) led by R. Thirumalai, State secretary held a demonstration, near Valluvar Kottam demanding a ban on multinational cola drinks including Pepsi and Coke. They said recent studies showed the presence of insecticide residues in higher quantum. In public interest, these drinks should be banned in the country, they said. The protestors, who raised slogans against the multi national soft drinks giants, as a mark of protest broke Pepsi and Coke bottles and poured down the contents.

The AISF members also sought provision of educational loans to students without many preconditions.
