Chief Minister J. Jaylalalithaa laid the foundation stone for the integrated complex to house the office of Tirupur District Collector and other government offices coming up on an expanse of 45 acre in Veerapandi ‘revenue village’, through videoconferencing on Friday.
Official sources told reporters that of the total Rs. 103.38 crore allocated towards the project, Rs. 52.13 crore would be utilised to construct the Collectorate, camp offices of senior revenue/development departments officials and a circuit house. The remaining for officially procuring the plot from Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments.
