TAMBARAM: Gold jewellery and other valuables stolen from a house in Ramapuram Gardens a few days ago were recovered following the arrest of three men, all of whom were employed by the family.

Briefing mediapersons at his office in St.Thomas Mount on Wednesday, Chennai Suburban Police Commissioner S.R. Jangid said special crime teams first interrogated John Duraipazham (29) of Tuticorin district. He had been working at the office of Madhu Mohan, a relative of former Chief Minister M.G.Ramachandran, in West Mambalam for 14 years. He had come to do errands during the wedding of Anand, son of Madhu Mohan.

Anil (35), car driver of Madhu Mohan, too had come to help the family during the wedding. Both John and Anil managed to gain entry into the house after Madhu Mohan and his family members left for Kerala on December 25.

They took the jewellery, electronic appliances, gift articles and other valuables and with the help of Jayakrishnan, pledged them in different pawn shops, all of which were recovered intact, Mr. Jangid added.
