Chandrayaan Project Director Mylswamy Annadurai has called upon the students to study the life history of great leaders and social reformers to develop good qualities.

He was speaking at a function organised to unveil the statues of founders of Sengunthar Educational Board VVCR Murugesa Mudhaliar and S. Meenatchi Sundara Mudhaliar, and former board secretary J. Sudhanandhen here on Monday.

Mr. Annadurai said that the contributions made by great leaders in the field of education had enabled a large number of children from the disadvantaged sections of society to come up in life.

He highlighted the contributions made by the board and J. Sudhanandhen for the development of education.

Kundrakudi Ponnambala Adigalar, Former Deputy Inspector General of Police K.V. Gnanasambandhan and Retired IAS officer V. Sankarasubbaiyan unveiled the statues installed in the premises of Sengunthar Higher Secondary School.

Board President R.M. Shanmugavadivel presided over the function. Secretary S. Sivanandhan, Makkal Chinthanai Peravai president T. Stalin Gunasekaran, Correspondent of M.P. Nachimuthu M. Jaganathan Engineering College Vasantha Sudhanandhen and members of various organisations were present in the function.
