Five postgraduate students of Government Arts College, Coimbatore, have been selected to study a semester in a U.K. university under the fully-sponsored ‘Study Abroad Programme’ of the State Government.

They are among the top 25 from 62 Government arts colleges in the State.

The programme, an outcome of a memorandum of understanding between Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education (TANSCHE) and the British Council, is to provide an opportunity to meritorious underprivileged PG students in Government Arts Colleges to experience international exposure.

Once they clear the IELTS, K.S. Anbarasu, M. Karunya, I. Niveditha, J. Sharon Jemima, and K. Reeja, will be on their way to the U.K. to spend the September-December semester there.
