Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president M. Karunanidhi on Friday accused the State government of targeting his party members, especially former Ministers.

In a statement, he said “false cases” have been foisted on the front-ranking members of the party such as Veerapandi S. Arumugam, I. Periyasamy and K.N. Nehru and, in the name of interrogation they were being made to run from pillar to post. He gave an account of cases filed by the previous All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam regime against a host of persons, including Kanchi Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi and many DMK members.
