ERODE: Federation of All Trade and Industry Associations of Erode District has urged the State Government to bring in the integrated textile trade centre in Erode at the earliest.

A release from the Federation says the government must take all efforts to make reality the promise by Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who said recently that the trade centre would be built soon in Erode.

The Federation has also asked for postponement of the implementation of Goods and Services Act 2010 as there are ‘many doubts’ in the draft. It asks the government to implement it from April 1, 2011 and not April 1, 2010.

The trade body has suggested giving priority for starting industries to add value to agriculture produce under the Prime Minister’s Employment Guarantee Scheme.
