The Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme will be useful even to those who have studied up to Class VIII, as they could get financial assistance from Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakh with 15 per cent subsidy, according to S. Santhakumar, General Manager, District Industries Centre.

Addressing the students of Sri Vidya College of Engineering and Technology during an awareness programme on entrepreneurship organised here recently, Mr.Santhakumar said graduates, diploma holders and those who passed technical courses in Industrial Training Institute (ITI) could get assistance to the tune of Rs.5 lakh to Rs.1 crore with 25 per cent subsidy under the programme.
