Tiruvannamalai: Superintendent of Police S. Panneerselvam has said that autorickshaw drivers in the town should introduce a standardised fare system.

Speaking at a meeting of drivers convened here on Friday, he said that the drivers on their own should arrive at a consensus on a standardised fare structure or accept a plan introduced by the police. “You can discuss the issue among yourselves. We can meet again after a week to finalise the modalities,” he said. More than 80 autorickshaws were seized in the town for violation during a drive conducted on Saturday.
