Stone for modern slaughter house to be laid in Perambur

CHENNAI: Local Administration Minister M.K. Stalin distributed free pattas to nearly 2,660 beneficiaries in the Perambur-Purasawalkam circle at a function organised at Dr. Ambedkar Government Arts College, Vyasarpadi, on Thursday.

A total of 80 acres worth Rs.175 crore was given to the beneficiaries who are settlers from Myanmar and living in Bhakthavatchalam Nagar, Indira Nagar and Sastri Nagar for four decades now.

Distributing the pattas, Mr.Stalin said nearly 5,700 people had been provided with pattas worth Rs.364 crore so far in Chennai district.

Mr.Stalin also announced that the foundation stone for a modernised slaughter house facility in Perambur would be laid in March.

Revenue Minister I. Periaswamy, Mayor M. Subramanian and Perambur Member of Legislative Assembly S. K. Mahendran participated in the function.
