CHENNAI: Southern Railway will operate the following special trains from Chennai to Madurai, Tuticorin and New Delhi to clear the extra rush of passengers.
Train No. 0615 will leave Chennai Egmore at 10.45 p.m. on August 1 and reach Madurai at 8.45 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, train no.0616 will leave Madurai at 11 p.m. on August 2 and arrive Chennai Egmore at 9.45 a.m. the next day.
The trains will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Ariyalur, Srirangam, Tiruchi and Dindigul. Train no. 0616 will stop at Mambalam also.
Train no. 0685 will leave Egmore at 10.45 p.m. on August 3 and August 5 and reach Tuticorin at noon, the next day. In the return direction train no.0686 will leave Tuticorin at 3 p.m. on August 4 and August 6 and arrive Egmore at 4.30 a.m. the next day.
The trains will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti and Vanchi Maniyachchi. Train No. 0686 will stop at Mambalam also.
Train no. 0411 will leave Chennai Central at 9.10 p.m. on July 22 and reach New Delhi at 10.05 a.m. on the third day.
The composition of the train will be 1 AC 3-tier, 5 sleeper class, 8 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The train will stop at Gudur, Vijayawada, Warangal, Balharshah, Nagpur, Bhopal and Jhansi.
Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on July 21, according to a Southern Railway press release.
