TIRUCHI: The Southern Railway will operate following special trains on the Tiruchi-Thanjavur-Nagore and Tiruchi-Mayiladuturai sections to clear the extra rush of passengers in connection with the Sani Peyarchi festival of Lord Saneeswara Bhagawan at Sri Dharbaranyeswarar temple at Tirunallar in Karaikal district in the Union Territory of Puducherry on September 26, according to a communication received from C. K. Sivaraj, Public Relations Officer of Southern Railway, Tiruchi division on Thursday.
Train Nos.892/899 Tiruchi-Thanjavur-Tiruchi passengers will be extended to Nagore. Train No.892 Tiruchi-Thanjavur-Nagore passenger will leave Thanjavur at 10.00 hrs on September 26 and 27 to reach Nagore at 12.00 hrs. In the return direction, train No.899 Nagore-Thanjavur-Tiruchi passenger will leave Nagore at 19.25 hrs on September 26 and 27 and reach Thanjavur at 21.45 hrs. These trains will stop at Needamangalam, Koradachery, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam. The timings and stoppage for these trains between Tiruchi and Thanjavur remained the same.
A pair of special trains will be operated between Nagore and Tiruvarur on September 26 and 27. Train No.NT-1 Nagore-Tiruvarur special train will leave Nagore at 11.15 hrs and reach Tiruvarur at 12.35 hrs. In the return direction, train no.TN-1 will leave Tiruvarur at 12.55 hrs and reach Nagore at 14.00 hrs. These trains will stop at Nagapattinam and Kilvelur.
A pair of special trains will be run between Tiruchi and Nagore on September 26. Train No.TN-2 Tiruchi-Nagore special train will leave Tiruchi at 11.00 hrs and reach Nagore at 14.15 hrs. In the return direction Train No.NT-2 will leave Nagore at 23.30 hrs and reach Tiruchi at 02.15 hrs the next day. These trains will stop at Tiruverambur, Budalur, Thanjavur, Needamangalam, Koradachery, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam.
A pair of special trains will be operated between Tiruchi and Mayiladuturai on September 26. Train No.TM-1 Tiruchi-Mayiladuturai special train will leave Tiruchi at 08.50 hrs and reach Mayiladuturai at 11.30 hrs. In the return direction, train No.MT-1 will leave Mayiladuturai at 13.00 hrs and reach Tiruchi at 15.45 hrs. These trains will stop at Thanjavur and Kumbakonam.
Train Nos. 865/866 Tiruvarur-Tiruthuraipoondi-Tiruvarur passenger trains which are normally cancelled on Sundays will run on September 27.
