MADURAI: The Kodaikanal FM station of All India Radio has lined up a series of special programmes for the Pongal festival from January 14 to 16.

According to an official press release, a special ‘patti mandram’ will be broadcast at 10 a.m. on January 14. The programme, moderated by Solomon Pappiah, will be relayed by all stations of All India Radio in Tamil Nadu. At 3 p.m., Kodaikanal FM will relay an interview with actor Vagai Chandrasekar, a ‘son of soil.’

It will be followed by an interview with film lyricist Pa. Vijay at 8 p.m. The second day of the Pongal festival will feature an interview with A. Natarajan, Associate Professor, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, on cattle feed, at 10 a.m.

An interview with film actor Chinnie Jayanth will be aired at 6 p.m. On January 16, a special debate featuring radio jockeys of Kodaikanal FM will be relayed at 10 a.m. The 6 p.m. programme will feature an interview with dubbing artiste Anuradha.
