International Special Athlete P. Balu from Bethshan Special School was felicitated at a function held at Gandhi Museum here on Saturday. He is the only player from Tamil Nadu to represent the country in the World Winter Floor Hockey Special Olympic games to be held in South Korea from January 29 to February 15.
Camps were held in Delhi and Bilaspur at the start of the year and four players from Tamil Nadu participated. P. Balu made the final cut and he would be joining 15 players who will be leaving for South Korea.
M. Jeyaseelan, Deputy Block Development officer, and J. Paul Devasagayam, Area Director, Special Olympics Bharath, felicitated him.
