Magalir Thittam has proposed to recruit social welfare workers to work with women on health care.

The position envisages awareness creation on non-communicable diseases among women’s self-help groups, along with awareness on prevention and cure of such diseases.

The position does not provide for a monthly salary. Instead, the trainers will be given a stipend on honorarium basis. The applicant must be aged between 18 and 35, must have studied at least till class 10, must have been a member of a women’s SHG for not less than two years, and must have inclination towards social work.

Applicants must belong to the blocks that fall under the purview of Magalir Thittam, which includes Nagapattinam, Keezhayur, Semmanarkoil, Vedaranyam, Thalainayar, Kollidam, and Sirkazhi.

Applications must reach the office of Magalir Thittam at the Collectorate by July 31.
