COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore Acme Round Table No.133 will organise `Wings' - an aerosports show - at the Kari Memorial Race track in Chettipalayam on March 10 and 11.

It was to raise funds for the Table's project to facilitate education to lesser-privileged students, Vikram Mohan, convenor of the event, told reporters here on Thursday.

The show proceeds would be used in constructing classroom blocks at a school in Vadavalli.

It was part of the Table's project `Freedom through Education', through which it aimed to enable children to attend schools, said Guhan V., Chairman of the Coimbatore Acme Round Table No.133.

Most of the schools in the rural and tribal pockets of the district had poor infrastructure and the students had to take shelter underneath trees or under thatched roofs. Sometimes their classrooms also doubled as hostels at night, Mr. Vikram said.

The show would contain adventure air sports such as zorbing, microlight flight, parasailing and hot air balloons.

The events would be conducted by the National Adventure Foundation, (Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Chapter).
