City students win

Indian Robot Olympiad

A team of three students from a city school have won the first prize in the Indian Robot Olympiad, the finals of which was held in New Delhi on September 15. According to a press release, S.Dhiram, C.Dheekshana and R.Sanjesh from Yuvabharathi Public School here had won in the iinitial round during which they had come up with a model of a robot that worked on the theme -conservation of Western Ghats. They interacted with former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and will be representing the country at the World Robotic Olympiad, which will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, between November 15 -17. —Staff Reporter.
