The Student Federation of India (SFI) on Thursday welcomed the verdict on former Education Minister of Puducherry M. Kalyanasundaram, who was sentenced four years of imprisonment in the case of impersonation in writing the SSLC examination.

A. Anand, secretary, SFI, Puducherry, said the verdict was a victory to SFI, which spearheaded a number of agitations against Kalyanasundaram. It would teach a lesson to those following fraudulent methods to clear examinations. The verdict had come out in quick time by a court in Tamil Nadu.
