Coimbatore: Students of biotechnology will be able to interact with research scientists at a seminar on advances in biological sciences, to be organised at the Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, here on Tuesday.

A release said the seminar, `Biosummit 2006', was being organised for the third consecutive year. The department would also organise a workshop on techniques in animal tissue culture from August 10 to 16. S. Mokkapati, Deputy Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi, would inaugurate the seminar. During the technical sessions, there would be lectures by Bhuvdev C. Das, Director, Institute of Cytology and Preventive Oncology, Noida, Uttar Pradesh and V. M. Katoch, Director, National Jalma Institute for Leprosy and other Mycobacterial Diseases, Agra.
