Dr. Mahalingam International Institute of Technology (MIIT), a division of NIA Educational Institutions, located on the Dr. Mahalingam College of Technology (MCET) campus, will organise a seminar on “Engineering Studies in the U.K.’ in collaboration with Northumbria University, the U.K., here on January 23.

According to a release, the seminar will be held at the MCET premises at 3 p.m. Joe Allen, Faculty – Engineering, from the university, will address students and parents on the prospects of studying engineering in the U.K.


Opportunities to gain a dual-degree in five years, after completing three years of engineering, in one of the following disciplines at the Northumbria University, viz., B. Eng. (Hons.) Electronic Design Engineering completion, B. Eng. (Hons.) Mechanical Design Engineering completion, B. Eng. (Hons.) Mobile Communications Engineering completion, and B.Sc. (Hons.) Applied Computing completion, will be explained. Opportunities for taking up post-graduation and the scholarships available will also be discussed.
