COIMBATORE: The Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), M. Damodaran, has underlined the need to focus on infrastructure, skilled manpower and to have more institutes of excellence to take India forward.

He was speaking at an interactive session organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, Coimbatore chapter, Institute of Company Secretaries of India (Coimbatore chapter) and Young Indians here on Tuesday.

`Inclusiveness important'

Further, for the country to go forward every State should be part of the development. Inclusiveness was important, he said. He urged the youth to demonstrate "self-belief" when in foreign countries. These were some of the factors that would help take the country forward.
