As part of anti-dengue operations, sanitary workers of the City Municipal Corporation on Tuesday cleaned the premises of four Government High Schools here and carried out fogging operations.

The civic body was carrying out anti-dengue operations in a phased manner in the corporation limits. During the first phase, door-to-door collection of garbage materials was carried out for two Saturdays and Sundays. Tyres found dumped along roadsides were removed in the second phase.

In the third phase, schools were cleaned up, and anti-larval operations were carried out.More schools would be cleaned in the coming days. Mayor S. Soundappan; Deputy Mayor M. Natesan; City Health Officer Arjunkumar; and others were present at the sanitation drive.
