Pulse polio campaign

NCC Naval Wing cadets of Mukkulathore Higher Secondary School, Tiruverambur, took out a pulse polio awareness rally recently. Sakthivel, headmaster, flagged off the rally, which passed through main bazaar, bus stand, Kakkan colony, Gandhi Nagar and Selvapuram.

The cadets carried placards and raised slogans highlighting the significance of pulse polio. A. Kamatchi, NCC officer, participated.

Rotary club donates computers

The Rotary Club of Tiruchi Metro in association with Rotary International district 5340 donated a computer to the Ramalinganagar Primary School, Woraiyur, at a function held in the city recently.

N. Prabavathi, headmistress of the school, received the computer from Linda Sundaram, wife of Lawrence J. Sundaram, Governor of the Rotary International District 5340.

The Rotary Club of Tiruchi Metro in association with Rotary International district 5340 donated 100 computers worth Rs. 20 lakh to 50 schools.

Mr. Sundaram and R. T. Arasu, president of the Rotary Club of Tiruchi were present on the occasion.

Children live it up at annual day

The annual day of Park Nursery and Primary School, Valadi, was celebrated recently. A. Pugalendhi, assistant elementary educational officer, was the chief guest. R. Mathi, panchayat president, presided. Pr.G.Christober gave away the prizes. Cultural programmes by the students enthralled the audience.
