Science expo

The Indian Public School in Erode conducted its annual Arts and Science exhibition, Shrishti, recently. The exhibition was organised to provide an opportunity for the students to showcase their talents in the areas of arts and science. Professors S.P. Geeta and Kalaichelvi from Vellalar College for Women inaugurated the exhibition. Students displayed a number of working models based on various science concepts. The mock rocket launch by students of Grade VII attracted a large number of visitors. Games, puzzles and static models also formed part of the event.

Swimming competition

Karthick of URC Palaniammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Erode, won two medals in the State-level swimming competition held to mark the Republic day and Bharathiar Day recently.

He won third place in the 100 metre free style and 50 metre back stroke categories. School Principal R. Ganesh, Physical Education Teacher V.N. Dineshkumar, congratulated the boy.

Annual Day

Students of AET Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Erode, celebrated the 23rd Annual day recently. Inaugurating the celebrations, Makkal Chinthanai Peravai President T. Stalin Gunasekaran urged the parents and teachers to work together to bring out the hidden talents of students. He also honoured teachers for their best performance and distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions. Students performed cultural programmes. AET Trust Chairman S.D. Chandrasekar, School Correspondent P. Kasiannan spoke. Principal V. Murugasamy read the annual report.
