Annual Day

K.S. Hegde, managing director, T. Stanes and Co, and Mrs. Hegde, were the chief guests at the 149 {+t} {+h} Annual Day celebration of Stanes Higher Secondary School. S. Natarajan received B. Thangasamy Annual Award for the best teacher from Philip R.J. Fowler, Chairman of the governing board.


The students of Nagarathinam International School of Excellence celebrated Deepavali with the inmates of Shavos Home for female destitute children in Sowripalayam. Sanitary kits and health hampers were distributed to the girls.

Kindergarten students and teachers of Angappa CBSE Senior Secondary School celebrated Sarawathi Pooja.

Vijaya Vidyalaya Matriculation School organised Navarathri Kolu celebration with colourful dolls and idols.

The students and teachers of T.V. Sekharan Memorial Matriculation Higher Secondary School celebrated Vidyarambam. T.S. Harish Kumar, managing trustee and Dr. Sheikh , PTA president, were present on the occasion.

Students of Sree Narayana Matruculation School organised Vidyarambam after Vijayadasami pooja.

Sree Dharmasthala Matriculation Higher Secondry School organised Mathru pooja and Sarawathi pooja.

Educational tour

Thirty students of The Indian Public School, Coimbatore, visited Microsoft Headquarters, Boeing, Intel, NASA Jet propulsion laboratory in Pasadena and Hover Dam Power plant in Boulder City during an educational tour to the U.S. During the 11-day trip arranged, the students visited Stanford University and attended a special workshop in California State University. They also visited Disney Land and Imax 3D in California.

Grandparents Day

National Model Secondary School organised Grandparents Day celebration with dance, songs, games and poetry recitation for the grandparents of the students.


A foot-care management programme was conducted by the Western Ghats International School in association with Adidas. A team of professionals briefed the students on foot care and conducted wet print test to find out the type of foot.


Students exhibited working models of windmills, volcanoes and models of buildings at the art and science exhibition organised by C.M.S. Nursery and Primary School. The exhibits were made out of waste materials.

Saplings planted

The members of science club of S.B.O.A. Matriculation Higher Secondary School planted saplings to mark the 80 {+t} {+h} birthday of former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Principal Geetha Gopinath, correspondent of SBOS Educational Trust D.S. Rishabada and school correspondent M. Arunachalam took part in the activities.

Students of R.G. Matric Higher Secondary School celebrated NCC Day by planting saplings. Principal J. Vijayalakshmi initiated the programme.
