The Directorate General of Resettlement, Department of Ex-Servicemen’s Welfare, Ministry of Defence, has invited applications from wards of ex-servicemen from Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts, who have joined professional courses such as B.E., B.Tech., MBBS, MCA, MBA during 2013-14, for grant of scholarships under the Prime Minister's Merit Scholarship Scheme for Wards of Ex-Servicemen.

Only those who had obtained above 60 per cent marks in Plus Two are eligible for the scholarship. Selection of candidates would be done only on the basis of the marks scored by the students.

Monthly scholarship of Rs. 2,000 for boys and Rs. 2,250 for girls would be given as scholarship under the scheme.

Applications are issued at the office of the AD, Ex-servicemen Welfare, Krishnagiri from October 8 to November 15.

The filled in applications should be submitted on or before November 22.

For obtaining the application form, ex-servicemen should bring their certificate of employment and mark sheets of the students, a press release from Major (retired) M. Muthuram, Assistant Director, Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Krishnagiri said.

A press release from C. Sathyamurthy, AD, Ex-servicemen Welfare, Dharmapuri said that the candidates can download the application form in and submit the application form on or before November 15 at the office of the AD, Old Housing Board, Ottapatti, Dharmapuri 5.
