Sanction LTC, demand pensioners

Tiruchi District Pensioners’ Association has urged the State government to sanction leave travel concession (LTC) to pensioners once in two years. A resolution passed at its meeting held here recently said the LTC was equivalent to one month’s pension and Punjab had introduced the scheme to benefit pensioners. Another resolution said that a few states like Bihar and Madhya Pradesh had stopped the recovery of commutation from the pension and wanted similar benefit to be extended to the pensioners in Tamil Nadu.
