MADURAI: The deadline for private fertilizer retail shops to sell Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) has been extended by a week to July 11 from July 4.In a statement, Collector S.S. Jawahar said that private shops should furnish DAP stock position to the Collector and the respective Assistant Director (Agriculture) of Block Agriculture Extension Centre on July 12.

Stating that fertilizer should be sold at the Government stipulated price, the Collector said that fertilizer would be seized and legal action initiated against private shop owners if they hoarded and sold it in the black market.
