ERODE: Five branches of the State Bank of India in Sathyamangalam have disbursed Rs. 100 crore as agriculture loan to 25,000-and-odd farmers, it was announced at a Farmers’ meeting held at Sathyamangalam recently.

The meeting was organised to honour agriculture loan borrowers who have promptly repaid the loan’.

The Deputy General Manager, SBI Zonal Office, Coimbatore, K.A. Krishnamurthy, Assistant General Manager Chitra Subramaniam, Assistant General Manager (Rural Development) B.K. Gopalakrishnan and others spoke.

Performance

The Director of Bannari Amman Sugars Ltd; A.K. Perumalsamy, appreciated the bank’s performance in Sathyamangalm area.

Chinnaraj, a professor at Agriculture Research Centre explained the farmers about the micro level irrigation using lift and drip system.
