The recently laid black top roads in Kaveripattinam Panchayat Union are not up to the mark, it was found during an inspection by District Collector Pooja Kulkarni. The contracting company did not adhere to specifications.

Ms. Kulkarni inspected the road laid between Bharatha Koil to Anginayanapalli at a cost of Rs. 16 lakhs and found that the first layer of soil, blue metal was not of the specified density and the tar mix was of poor quality. Hence, she ordered for quality control checking of the road and ordered the officials to send soil for a laboratory test.

She also found that a culvert built across the same road was not the size mentioned in the specification, hence she ordered the officials to reconstruct the culvert.

Later, she inspected the construction of green houses and implementation of Indira Awaz Yojana scheme at Mittaalli panchayat.

She inspected the road laying work at Pothapuram in Erraalli panchayat at a cost of Rs. 35 lakhs and directed officials to monitor whether the size of the blue metals used according to the specification of the contract.

She instructed officials to give power connection and pipeline connection to the toilets being constructed at a cost of Rs. 5 lakhs under the MLA Local Area Development

Fund at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School at Kaveripattinam.
