: A section of Revenue staff, affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Revenue Officers' Association, went on a mass casual leave protesting against the district administration on Tuesday.

The association district president, G. Kannan, said that there were many transfers of revenue staff to distant places causing inconvenience to the employees, especially women staff. The officials would continue with the strike of going on mass leave for two more days.

He also complained that the Collector, M. Balaji, was issuing charge memo even for minor mistakes committed by the staff.

Revenue officials in the Collectorate, Revenue Divisional Offices and Taluk offices were on strike.
