He entered into altercation with official at Tahsildar office
Demanding action against AIADMK councillor for his alleged rude behaviour at the Tahsildar office, revenue officials boycotted work and staged a protest for a brief period at the Collectorate on Thursday.
They demanded that action be taken against S.S. Krishnamurthy, councillor of Ward 29, for his behaviour at the office on Wednesday. Though revenue official concerned said that community certificate can be issued only after verification of documents, the councillor demanded it immediately and entered into altercation. Hence, action should be taken against him within 10 days, they demanded. The Salem Town police have registered a case against Krishnamurthy and three of his accomplice under Sections 341 (wrongful restraint) and 353 (assault to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of the IPC.
