Lieutenant Governor Iqbal Singh on Tuesday felicitated the Republic Day contingent of National Cadet Corps members that participated in the national camp in New Delhi recently.

A total of 112 boy and girl cadets of the Directorate Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman Nicobar Islands participated in the national camp in Delhi. They also won second runner-up in the Prime Minister’s rally held on January 28. Three cadets from Puducherry were part of the contingent and they received prizes.

Deputy Director General of the directorate, Commodore K.S. Aiyappa was also present at the felicitation. In his speech, Mr. Singh said the cadets were the future leaders of the country and that they should be role models for society.
