The last date fixed is January 31
Coimbatore: The validity of police licence to hotels, lodges, restaurants, bakery, bar, marriage halls, community hall in the city would expire on March 31.
A release from the City Police Commissioner, Karan Singha, said that the licence holders must apply for renewal of the same to the Office of the Commissioner of Police, 60 days before the expiry of the validity - on or before January 31 - as per section 34 and 35 of the Tamil Nadu City Police Act.
Applications should be submitted along with the challan of fee remitted, receipt of corporate licence fees, building owner's consent letter or rent lease-deed copy in case of rented or leased buildings, self-addressed envelope (with stamps to the value of Rs 25-affixed on it), property tax receipt, No-Objection Certificate from Fire and Rescue Services Department, Stability Certificate in respect of lodges, hostels, marriage hall etc.
A sketch/blue print of the building showing length and width of the building, topography and parking space besides a copy of the police licence issued during the previous year.
If they failed to get the police licence renewed on time, legal action would be initiated against them.
