PERAMBALUR: The district authorities on Friday held discussion with the hoteliers on reducing the prices of food items.
The District Revenue Officer, P. Shankar, presided over the meeting.
It was decided to reduce the price of two idlis from Rs.8 to Rs.7, ordinary dosai and pongal from Rs.15 to Rs.13. The limited meals would be provided at Rs.20.
Mr. Shankar directed that the hotels, which were selling the food items at the prices lesser than the prices fixed at the meeting, should not increase the same.
The Revenue Divisional Officer, civil supplies officials, tahsildars will monitor the hotels to ensure implementation of the above decision.
The District Supply Officer Muthiah, the regional manager of the Civil Supplies Corporation Shanmugam, Revenue Divisional Officer, Prasanna Venkatesan and others participated.
