Water leakage

Leakage owing to broken pipelines has resulted in water not being supplied to Sholavandan, Thuvariman, Kochadai and Doak Nagar. One can see water leaking from cracks and stagnating on roads. So the Corporation authorities must immediately plug the leaking pipelines and relay the roads damaged owing to water stagnation.

Loudspeaker menace

It is not an exaggeration to state that loudspeaker menace is rampant only in Madurai. Whenever there is a meeting of a political party, loud music is played right from the early morning.

This causes inconvenience to patients in hospitals, students in school and colleges and residents.

When the political party approach the nearest police station to get permission to play music, the police personnel must grant it only on a condition that it can be played on loudspeakers only one hour before the commencement of any meeting or function.

This will put a check on this public nuisance.

Shift railway station

The isolated location of East Madurai railway station serves neither people, students nor traders.

Hence, it should be shifted to a new location or a new railway station can be set up near Teppakulam or Anuppanadi where there are several schools, colleges and industries are located.
