KANCHEEPURAM: The Kanchi taluk supply officials have seized 22 ration cards, which were reportedly pledged to a private money lender here.

According to sources, a team raided the house of Sambandam on Pudupalayam Street on Wednesday. The raid was conducted, following information that PDS rice was hoarded in the house. The team found a total of 16 bags of rice, each weighing around 50 kg.

The persons staying in the house gave contradicting replies to the officials, who conducted a thorough search and seized 22 ration cards.
